stone flooring & staircases

“a stone stairway to heaven”

Stone flooring has been used for millennia for a good reason - it is stylish, practical and durable.  Stone is once again being used throughout the ground floor of people’s homes and up the stairs to the upper floors.

Stone has always been popular in staircases and halls. A limestone or marble entrance hall floor coordinated with a beautiful stone staircase creates an elegant and welcoming entrance to your home, providing a lasting first impression for your visitors.

Your staircase can be built in various ways, depending on weight-bearing considerations and what is already in place: in solid stone, as marble cladding around a steel framework or as treads and risers installed on an existing staircase. The floor in the surrounding space can be tiled to match the stairs, giving a seamless, coordinated look.

a new kitchen is a big undertaking, so you want to be sure that you're making the right choice

By choosing stone for your worktop and tiles, you can be sure that the kitchen will look beautiful for many years and will be unique to you. stoneCIRCLE has been fabricating stone for kitchens for over 50 years. We offer a huge range of granite, limestone, and quartz for worktops, splashbacks, and tiles.

Your worktop, upstands, and splashbacks will be made to measure for your kitchen, and you can choose from our extensive range of granite, quartz, and sintered stone, many of which are in stock at our Basingstoke factory.

We hold standard-sized tiles in the most popular types of limestone and travertine in stock and can order them in or cut from slabs if we do not have what you want to hand.

bathrooms

indulge yourself in a marble spa

use limestone, travertine or marble to create a bathroom sanctuary which is energising and revitalising in the morning but equally provides peace and tranquillity after a busy day

Natural stone lends itself beautifully to creating atmospheres as varied as a warm haven with vanity tops, shower trays and tiles in the beige tones of limestone and travertine or as a cool, airy space using white marbles such as Arabescato and Carrara.

Book-matched marble cladding, where panels from the same slab are placed side by side with mirrored veining, gives the room a classic look. This can be carried through to create book-matched stone flooring that mirrors the walls.

Granite can be used as a statement piece to striking effect, for example, to create a vanity unit or bath surround, with the rest of the room in neutral colours, or for a rich, opulent look when used less sparingly

have it all in stone for the ultimate in long-lasting luxury

Bathing and stone have been associated for millennia, and our ancestors knew the practicality of a marble or limestone bathroom.  Durable, easy to clean and beautiful to look at - why not opt to have the whole of your bathroom in stone?

living… the heart of your home

feature walls and fireplaces

a natural stone mantelpiece makes a stunning focal point in a room

Choose a traditional ornate marble fire surround for a classic feel or take a modern turn and pick a limestone or travertine fireplace with simple geometric lines.

We will measure the size of the opening and manufacture a fireplace that fits the ambience of your room to create the perfect warm living space.

For rooms without a fireplace, a feature wall in marble cladding does the same job.

entertain your friends

A stone table top is practical as well as beautiful.  We can cut granite, slate or marble to size and fit to a base to use as a dining or coffee table.

If you have the space to install a bar, why not give it a stone top, like this beautiful leather finish granite bar.

swimming pools

nothing is more natural than water and stone

Stone is a natural choice for swimming pools and spas. By its nature, the stone is easy to care for, long-lasting and practical in wet areas, as it can be given an anti-slip finish.

Whether you choose limestone, granite or marble - stone can be used to unify the space with floors, walls, pool edges, steps and benches all in the same material, or to create contrasts using different types or colours of stone.

outdoors

stone is by its nature suited to use outdoors

Landscaping your garden with stone is practical as well as beautiful: patio areas, pathways, paving stones, gateposts, stone fountains, garden ornaments and stone statuary; all are possible with natural stone, which weathers exceptionally well, withstanding heat, cold, wind and rain.

stoneCIRCLE makes stone garden furniture to order, so that you can specify the material and item to perfectly complement your chosen garden scheme, whether that is a Portland Stone patio, limestone bench, slate paving, or marble statue.
