3 Outstanding Stone Looks to try in your New Kitchen
Follow these four simple steps to create an astonishing shower or wet room made from marble.
We’ve compiled three gorgeous stone designs to inspire you, and get your kitchen renovation underway.
1. Whitewash
White is a classic colour choice for a kitchen for a reason. It’s a beautiful backdrop for your room’s design and works well in open-plan homes, contemporary properties and houses flooded with ample natural light.
Silestone Calacatta Gold, or Q-Stone Bianco Massa are great choices to use on your kitchen countertops to create this look. Quartz is a hard-wearing, heat resistant composite stone with low porosity, perfect for kitchens.
Both granite and quartz worktops are durable, easy to maintain and clean, so are great for creating multi-purpose spaces that you can use every day, and they will last for years to come.
Try using the same stone for your countertops and flooring, for a consistent look. Granites such as Viscount White will give a softer look due to the blue patterning which contrasts with the white stone.
2. Bold, dark and beautiful
We’re seeing a rise in the number of people moving away from traditional kitchen design and embracing bold and bright colours.
Black is a popular colour choice for kitchens at the moment. You can use Black Beauty granite or Absolute Zimbabwe Black granite on your kitchen worktops, splashback and floor to create a sleek and dramatic design.
We can cut your kitchen worktop to suit the style you have in mind, curving them for a softer finish, or sticking to straight angles and simple lines, for a clean minimalist finesse.
Why not bring the outside in and try a deep green granite for your countertops and splashback? Labrador emerald pearl granite or Verde Ubatuba granite will be perfect for this.
You could also use your kitchen cabinets to introduce a splash of colour – blues, oranges and reds are fashionable colour choices. Pair this with a cream-hued stone, like CRL’s Colorado quartz composite or Colonial White granite for your kitchen floor and worktops, to liven up your kitchen space and create a truly unique look.
We offer granite and quartz stones in a wide variety of colours and finishes to suit every style of kitchen.
3. Shades of grey
Cool grey suits kitchen spaces well. It creates a pleasant and tranquil atmosphere, ideal for preparing meals, dining as a family, working from home and entertaining guests.
Experiment with different patterns of stone to add character and personality to your space.
Dekton Kreta is a great choice for this look, to use on your kitchen island, worktops, and splashback. We are a gold partner for Cosentino and experts at installing Dekton counter tops and flooring.
Caesarstone’s Airy Concrete quartz composite is another perfect stone for this style, while Steel Grey granite gives a darker alternative. The natural coolness of stone also makes it ideal for rolling out pastry and dough.
