still life with stone vol. 4
This series of images continues our tribute to the creative abilities and craftsmanship of humans working with the rich materials that Mother Nature provides.
Inspired by the rich seam of still life paintings, and using the most beautiful marbles, granites and other stones, both natural and composite which are our raw material, we have created a series of homages to art and artists.
Take a look at how the different colours, textures and patterns of stone influence the feel and mood of a setting, whether kitchen worktop, bathroom vanity, staircases or other interior space.
sunday morning with Giallo Veneziano
Every Sunday morning, a family meets at the kitchen counter to drink coffee together. There are papers everywhere, mocha pots on the cooker and pastries on a platter in the middle of the stone counter in Giallo Veneziano granite from Brazil.
In the corner, there is a stone chimney breast with two cupboards underneath made from stone tiles and a stone worktop. There's a red Aga cooker behind another stone wall in which an old stone fireplace lies hidden beneath a wooden facade.
The stone – mentioned so many times here – almost passes unnoticed, as if it had always been there... and always will be!
Granite stone worktops are today’s topic. How much do you actually know about the stone? Why is it used for kitchen countertops, what makes it so popular and which granite should you choose?
Let us enlighten you.
homage to Giorgio Morandi on moleanos
Vases, bowls and pumpkins, a homage to Giorgio Morandi.
Tonal subtlety, basic objects, and natural goods blend nicely with Moleanos limestone from Spain.
It is almost impossible to resist grabbing your favourite sketchpad and starting drawing this still life composition.
through the rose-tinted glass with rosa tea
The sun is setting over the Greek island of Rhodes, casting long shadows through the window onto a table made of Rosa Tea marble.
Curly radicchio rosso, borlotto beans, and pomegranate left on the table perfectly match the warm pink glow in this beautiful monochrome palette.
Enchanting still life with stone.
spa days with statuarietto and chateau vert
Imagine that you are enjoying a spa getaway in Bellagio overlooking Lake Como.
Chateau Vert and Statuarietto marble on walls and floors add a vintage look that fills the space with a sense of elegance and luxuriousness. Add candles, plants, soaps and incenses for the full sensory experience.
